Maternal mortality and morbidity in Georgia

This was the PhD project of Natia Skhvitaridze, who defended her PhD thesis at UiT on October 25, 2024. The project aimed to adress maternal mortality and severe morbidity in Georgia, and consited of 3 papers:

• Scoping maternal care through the lens of maternal deaths: A retrospective analysis of maternal mortality in Georgia

• SARS-CoV-2 infection during pregnancy and the risk of adverse maternal outcomes in the Republic of Georgia: a national birth registry-based cohort study

• Anemia during pregnancy and adverse maternal outcomes in Georgia – a birth registry-based cohort study (accepted for publication in Plos One, december 2024)
