2025_Launch of special issue photographies entitled "Photography and Care"

This publication consists of seven articles about the role of photography in what is referred to in English as "care-taking practices". What is the role of photography in a reality characterized by constant changes and an expanding digital culture? Can photography and photographic practices help build relationships, both between people and with other life forms?

The editors of this issue are Marthe T. Fjellestad, Elin Haugdal, Hanne Hammer Stien, and Stephanie von Spreter. 

The launch event features presentations on plant photography from Svalbard by Elin Haugdal, and genre-crossing documentary photography from Lesvos by Hilde Honerud and Jon Honerud. Marthe T. Fjellestad and Hanne Hammer Stien will give introductory remarks. Light refreshments will be served. The event is a collaboration between Perspektivet Museum and the research group Worlding Northern Art (WONA).
