What are the consequences of the increasing influx of tourists to Tromsø for those working in the service industry? At the next meeting of the International Seminar, there will be a discussion on how to create a more sustainable and well-functioning working life in the city.

Internasjonalt Seminar er et informasjons- og debattforum i Tromsø, som gjennom foredrag og paneldiskusjoner tar opp nord/sør-problematikk, miljø/klima, fattigdom/utvikling og krig/fred som sentrale tema.
Torsdag 10. april kl. 19:00-21:00, på Tromsø bibliotek og byarkiv, holdes det en ny paneldebatt på Internasjonalt Seminar.
Tromsø er en verdensberømt arktisk destinasjon som tiltrekker seg stadig flere turister, fra hele verden. For å møte denne etterspørselen, spiller arbeidere med utenlands bakgrunn en avgjørende rolle i byens reiselivsnæring og servicesektor.
Men hvordan påvirker denne turiststrømmen arbeidernes mentale helse? Og hva betyr det for innbyggerne som bor og jobber i denne pulserende byen?

Internasjonalt seminar har et program med 25-30 åpne møter i året.
Seminaret støttes av Tromsø kommune og koordineres av FN-sambandet Nord og Seksjon for internasjonalt samarbeid (SIS) ved UiT Norges arktiske universitet.
I tillegg støttes seminaret av Tromsøs humanitære organisasjoner, solidaritets- organisasjoner og studentorganisasjoner.

The International Seminar is a forum for political debate in Tromsø, that addresses issues of the North/South divide, environment/climate, poverty/development, and war/peace as central themes through lectures and panel discussions.
Thursday, 10 April, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, at the Tromsø Library, there will be a new panel debate at International Seminar.
Tromsø is a world-renowned Arctic destination that continues to attract an increasing number of tourists from across the globe. To meet this demand, workers with international backgrounds play a crucial role in the city's tourism industry and service sector.
But how does this influx of tourists affect the mental health of the workers? And what does it mean for the residents who live and work in this vibrant city?

The International Seminar has a program with 25-30 open meetings per year.
The Seminar is supported by the Tromsø municipality and is coordinated by the UN Association North and the Section for International Cooperation (SIS) at UiT The Arctic University of Norway.
In addition, the seminar is supported by Tromsø's humanitarian organizations, solidarity organizations, and student organizations.
