Artist talk with Carina Erdmann on Monday 22th of September, 15:15 at the Black Box, Kunstakademiet (Grønnegata 1). Open for all, welcome!

About the artist:
Carina Erdmann works on the intersection of game design, performance and philosophy. She researches role play and and (un)worlding as a practice of social speculation. Entering through the (re)framing of a game, her research considers the critical use or abuse of game-like structures and their mechanics as metaphors. It attempts to develop game design as a method of collaborative critical inquiry that generates knowledge at the meeting point of the abstract and the concrete. Through the iterative creation and negotiation of a shared game space, it invites players to (de)construct tacit rules, rehearse inadaptation to a given framework and enact alternative agencies. Her research has unfolded within the PHD project ‘Distant Bodies and Accomplices’ at LUCA School of Arts; at the project space ‘au JUSLinks to an external site.’ collectively run through (role) play and on https://0ct0p0s.net/., a platform for Prefigurative Play.
