Job description
Jeg forsker på gasshydrater, fluid migrasjon og havbunns utslipp systemer i kontinentale marginer. Jeg spesialiserer og underviser i marine seismiske metoder for karakterisering av undergrunnen. Jeg er spesielt interessert i hvordan regionale geologiske prosesser påvirker submarin sedimenter og fluid migrasjon. Mine pågående prosjekter fokuserer på å kvantifisere virkningen av is- og tektonisk stress på metan utslipp.

Jeg er representantmedlem for fast vitenskapelig ansatte i fakultetsstyret (2022-2026) og nåværende leder (2021-2025) for gruppen Geofysikk, Glasiologi og Oseanografi (GeGO) ved Institutt for Geovitenskap, NT-Fak, UiT.
Jeg er assisterende leder i forskningsgruppen RU4, iC3 Center for Ice, Cryosphere, Carbon and Climate

Jeg jobber med utviklingen av kurset "Integrert geologisk og geofysisk tolkning" (GEO-3138/8138). I dette kurset arbeider studentene med case-studier fra arktiske kontinentale marginer for å forstå komplekse interaksjoner mellom Jords systemer (e.g., karbon transport, sedimentær deformasjon, metan utslipp, glasial og tektoniske dynamikker)
