André Henriksen


Job description

André Henriksen, ph.d., tok en sivilingeniørgrad i 2003 fra Institutt for informatikk ved UiT Norges arktiske universitet. Mellom 2003 og 2016 jobbet han som systemutvikler, prosjektleder og utviklingsleder i Tromsøbaserte teknologiselskaper. Mellom 2012 og 2016 tok han parallelt en erfaringsbasert master i strategisk ledelse og økonomi (MBA) ved Handelshøgskolen, ved UiT Norges arktiske universitet. Mellom 2016 og 2021 tok han en doktorgrad i helseteknologi/medisinsk informatikk ved det helsevitenskapelige fakultetet, Institutt for samfunnsmedisin, UiT Norges arktiske universitet.

Henriksen har siden 2021 jobbet for Institutt for Informatikk, UiT, først som universitetslektor og fra 2023 som førsteamanuensis.

Henriksen var med på søknad til DIKU (Direktoratet for internasjonalisering og kvalitet i høgare utdanning), der det ble tildelt NOK 6.3 mill. for å etablere en samlingsbasert master i digitale helsetjenester. Masterprogrammet startet opp høsten 2022 ved Campus Mo i Rana, og er et tett samarbeid med helsetjenestene i Helgelandsregionen.

Han var også med på en søknad til NFR i 2022 der det ble tildelt 16 millioner til RESTART, en randomisert kontrollert studie, der en av metodene er bruk av smartklokker for innsamling av data på fysisk aktivitet over flere år fra studiedeltakerene. 

Henriksen underviser for tiden i mobile helse (mHelse) og helseinformatikk, som del av studieretningen Medisinsk informatikk på sivilingeniørstudiet ved instituttet. Han undervise også på masterprogrammet i digitale helsetjenester. Han har tidligere undervist i biostatistikk og epidemiologi.
