    Research interests

Edvard Lia er stipendiat i religionsvitenskap/teologi/filosofi. Doktorgradsprosjektet hans, foreløpig titulert The Phenomenon of Breath: An Existential Interpretation of Respiratory Facts, utforsker pustens filosofi med Hans Jonas som den fremste filosofiske dialogpartneren.

Lias masteroppgave i engelsk litteratur fra 2023, Political Forms of Infinity in Contemporary Ecopoetry and Ecofiction: Why We Read in a Time of Crisis, artikulerer litteraturens politiske potensial i møte med økologikrisen ved å dra veksler på Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegels begrep om sann uendelighet.

Hans generelle forskningsinteresser inkluderer Hegels filosofi, økomarxisme, den fenomenologiske tradisjonen, samt en rekke øvrige tenkere innen post-kantiansk filosofi.
