Monica I. Norvik


Job description

Jeg er utdannet logoped og spesialpedagog, med hovedfag i spesialpedagogikk med fordypning i logopedi, og jeg har en doktorgrad i klinisk lingvistikk om afasi og flerspråklighet. Jeg over 20 års klinisk erfaring fra afasiteamet i Statped (tidligere Bredtvet kompetansesenter) og har vært forsker ved MultiLing, UiO i hele senterets virketid (2013-2024). Har en II-erstilling ved masterutdanningen i logopedi ved NTNU.

Jeg underviser i logopediske emner på logopedutdanningen og underviser også i enkeltemner i spesialpedagogikk.

Jeg veileder masterstudenter i logopedi innen en rekke logopediske temaer, veileder master i spesialpedagogikk, i tillegg til at jeg veileder to ph.d-kandidater i lingvistikk (UiO).

    Research interests

    Mine akademiske interesser inkluderer logopedi, flerspråklighet og klinisk lingvistikk. Jeg fokuserer hovedsakelig på ervervede språk-, tale- og kommunikasjonsvansker, med en spesiell interesse for utvikling av metoder for kartlegging og behandling av flerspråklige personer. Videre er jeg opptatt av hvordan arbeidet med flerspråklige personer med afasi og demens kan bidra til å informere lingvistiske modeller for flerspråklig prosessering.
