Training, teaching and support

The University Library research data team runs a help desk for research data management (RDM) and coding, in conjunction with UiT Research Software Engineering and High-Performance Computing. The help desk is open to all UiT students and staff on Wednesdays 14:00-16:00 in UB 244. If you are stuck writing your Data Management Plan, cleaning messy data, preparing your data for archiving, or have any other RDM problems, join us and a research data expert will be there to guide you. More info on Tavla.

We also hold regular events on research data management (RDM), such as Data Days, which are open to all staff and students. See the list of upcoming Events.

If you are a PhD student at UiT, you can also learn about best practice in RDM as part of the Take control of your PhD journey course. You may also wish to enrol on the DocEnhance Data stewardship course developed by UiT. Module 1 consists of video lectures you can take at your own convenience, while modules 2 and 3 are taught at UiT in the spring semester. You can read more about the DocEnhance Data stewardship course in the executive summary on Zenodo.

You can browse handouts and materials from webinars and workshops held previously by the University Library in the RDM Training @ UiT Zenodo collection.
