Ukraina har vært i en krigstilstand siden 2013 – hvordan har det påvirket landets språkpolitikk og hvordan befolkningen ser på deres språklige arv og mangfold?

Ukraine has been in a state of war since 2013 – how has this affected the country's language policy and the population's perception of their linguistic heritage and diversity?
NORSK:
Internasjonalt Seminar er et informasjons- og debattforum i Tromsø, som gjennom foredrag og paneldiskusjoner tar opp nord/sør-problematikk, miljø/klima, fattigdom/utvikling og krig/fred som sentrale tema.
Neste seminar skjer torsdag 19. mars kl. 19:00-21:00, på Tromsø bibliotek og byarkiv.
Språksituasjonen i Ukraina er kompleks. Ukrainsk er landets offisielle språk, men russisk er fortsatt utbredt. I tillegg finnes det en rekke minoritetsspråk. Seminaret belyser den historiske utviklingen som har formet dagens språkbilde.
Det inkluderer situasjonen under revolusjonen i 2013–14, de første åtte årene av krigen og utviklingen etter Russlands fullskala invasjon i 2022.

Møteleder: Tore Nesset, professor ved UiT Norges arktiske universitet.
Etter innledningene blir det spørsmål og åpen debatt.
Medarrangører: FN-studentene Tromsø og Nordnorsk Ukraina-hub (UiT Norges arktiske universitet).
Internasjonalt seminar har et program med 25-30 åpne møter i året.
Seminaret støttes av Tromsø kommune og koordineres av FN-sambandet Nord og Seksjon for internasjonalt samarbeid (SIS) ved UiT Norges arktiske universitet.
I tillegg støttes seminaret av Tromsøs humanitære organisasjoner, solidaritets- organisasjoner og studentorganisasjoner.

International Seminar is an information and debate forum in Tromsø, which addresses key topics such as North/South issues, environment/climate, poverty/development, and war/peace through lectures and panel discussions.
On Thursday, 19 March, from 19:00 to 21:00, a debate meeting will be held at Tromsø Library and City Archives as part of the International Seminar.
The Language Situation in Ukraine is Complex. Ukrainian is the country's official language, but Russian remains widespread. In addition, there are several minority languages.
The seminar sheds light on the historical developments that have shaped the current linguistic landscape.
This includes the situation during the revolution of 2013–14, the first eight years of the war, and developments following Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022.

Moderator: Tore Nesset, Professor at UiT The Arctic University of Norway.
Following the presentations, there will be an open Q&A session and debate.
Co-organisers: FN-studentene Tromsø (UN Students Tromsø) and the Northern Norwegian Ukraine Hub (UiT The Arctic University of Norway).
International Seminar organises 25–30 open meetings annually. The seminar is supported by Tromsø Municipality and coordinated by the United Nations Association of Norway (North) and the Section for International Cooperation (SIS) at UiT The Arctic University of Norway.
In addition, the seminar is supported by Tromsø's humanitarian organisations, solidarity organisations, and student organisations.
