How can doctoral candidates best handle the challenges they encounter during their research education? This is the main theme of a workshop organised by Lund University in June. There, doctoral candidates from EUGLOH universities will have the opportunity to discuss, exchange ideas, and build networks.

Denne én-ukes aktiviteten er utformet for å hjelpe stipendiater med å håndtere typiske utfordringer som oppstår under doktorgradsreisen.
Dette initiativet samler stipendiater fra EUGLOH-alliansen for å diskutere, utveksle ideer, bygge nettverk og styrke profesjonell utvikling, samtidig som det fremmer bevissthet om en felles europeisk akademisk kultur.
Programmet fokuserer på temaer som er nært knyttet til doktorgradsreisen og de vanlige utfordringene den innebærer. Ved å diskutere disse utfordringene og utvikle mestringsstrategier sammen, kan deltakerne proaktivt forme denne viktige livsperioden. Å overvinne hindringer som kan oppstå under en forskerutdanning kan gi et godt fundament for å møte utfordringer senere i en forskerkarriere.
Erfarne trenere fra EUGLOH-partnere i München, Lund og Hamburg — alle aktivt involvert i veiledning av doktorgradsstudenter — gir under workshopen ekspertinnspill om sentrale temaer som motivasjon, produktivitet, kommunikasjon, veiledning, god vitenskapelig praksis og spørsmålet: «Hva skjer etter doktorgraden?»
EUGLOH Living Labs er et samarbeidsinitiativ som samler studenter, forskere og ansatte fra EUGLOH-partneruniversiteter for å samskape innovative kurs i eksperimentelle, virkelighetsnære læringsmiljøer.
EUGLOH Living Lab Crafting My PhD Journey, organisert av Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) i samarbeid med Universitetet i Hamburg (UHH) og Lunds universitet (LU), støtter beslutningstaking og motstandsdyktighet, og hjelper deltakerne med å planlegge sine akademiske og profesjonelle veier.
Innhold og metodikk
Alle økter gjennomføres interaktivt for å oppmuntre til gjensidig erfaringsutveksling, refleksjon og interaksjon. En nettbasert økt holdes for å forberede deltakerne til det fysiske arrangementet. Utvalgte deltakere vil bli invitert i god tid i forkant.

This one-week activity is designed to help doctoral candidates address typical challenges that arise during their doctoral journey.
This initiative brings together PhD candidates from the EUGLOH Alliance to discuss, exchange ideas, build networks, and strengthen professional development while fostering awareness of a shared European academic culture.
The programme focuses on topics inherently linked to the PhD journey and the common challenges it entails. By discussing these challenges and developing coping strategies together, participants can proactively shape this important period. Overcoming such hurdles is one of the most significant and formative aspects of the PhD experience.
Experienced trainers from EUGLOH partners in Munich, Lund, and Hamburg — all actively involved in the supervision of doctoral candidates — provide expert input on key topics such as motivation, productivity, communication, supervision, good scientific practice, and the question, ‘What comes after the doctorate?’
The EUGLOH Living Labs is a collaborative initiative that brings together students, researchers, and staff from EUGLOH partner universities to co-create innovative courses in experimental, real-world learning environments.
