Research Project in Automation and Process Technology
About the course
Engineering Science. The course is available as a singular course.
The students will carry out a research project within the field of automation or Process Technology. A supervisor will be appointed for each student. The supervisor will announce an individual project proposal for each student. The student will make a project description by the end of the preceding semester, which is subject to supervisor’s approval. The project will be performed under guidance of the supervisor.
The student will present her/his research in a paper in the journal article format.
Admission requirements
A relevant undergraduate Bachelor Engineering program with minimum 25 credits mathematics, 5 credits statistics, 7,5 credits physics

Teaching methods
Carry out an individual and independent research project which may include laboratory experiments or computer simulations. Regular project meeting with supervisor. Writing of a research paper.
Language of instruction: Guidance will be given in English. The report to be written in English.

Exchange students and Fulbright students: 1 October for the spring semester and 15 April for the autumn semester.

Grading Letter grading A - F
Re-sit exam: Only if the project report is evaluated grade "not passed", a revised report may be handed in. New deadline will be 3 months. If report upon 2nd evaluation is given grade "not passed", the candidate may apply for a new project. If the project is not handed in within deadline, the candidate may apply for a new project.
